Don Weinbren discussed the $310 billion funding of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) on April 24, 2020 for the Tampa Bay Times. After the first round of funding for PPP, a program made available under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the president signed a bill to replenish the funds available to small businesses and nonprofit organizations on April 24.
“I think all this now is really picking up where they left off and starting to process the applications that they already have in hand,” Weinbren said. Waiting lists remain long from the first round of funding, meaning this round of funding is likely to go quickly.
