TAMPA, FL – Trenam Law is pleased to announce that Maja Lacevic has been selected as a recipient of the 2018 University of South Florida (USF) Outstanding Young Alumni Award. The award ceremony was held at USF on Friday, May 18th. The event was sponsored by TECO, Phil and Jean Amuso, and Trenam Law.
The Outstanding Young Alumni Award was established in 2004 to recognize alumni for their professional accomplishments and engagement with the university. The program recognizes alumni age 35 or younger who have demonstrated emerging and unique innovation, creativity and success in their chosen career, charitable contributions, and their commitment to USF.
Lacevic, an attorney on Trenam’s Business Transactions Group, focuses her practice on a broad range of health care and transaction-based services. She is certified in Health Care Compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association. Lacevic represents entrepreneurs, physicians, physician group practices, imaging and diagnostic facilities, managed care and related strategic entities, private equity groups and venture capital investors on buy-side and sell-side transactions and state and federal health care regulatory matters. She also represents various businesses with respect to matters relating to entity selection and formation, partnership and shareholder agreements, employment, contracting, compensation and equity arrangements, and securities law. Lacevic regularly counsels clients on health care transactions, HIPAA and licensure issues, changes of ownership, confidentiality and information sharing, risk management, fraud and abuse prevention, credentialing, and hospital staff privilege matters.
Lacevic received a J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law and a B.A. from University of South Florida. She is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Florida Trend’s Legal Elite. In 2016, Lacevic was named an “Up & Comer Under 30” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. She is currently the Programs Chair for USF Women in Leadership & Philanthropy.
