Trenam Kemker is pleased to announce its recognition by the Daily Business Review with the 2014 Litigation Department of the Year award for “General Litigation.” Trenam Kemker was named to the elite short list of Florida firms for its high volume of litigation victories during the previous year. The firm was honored at an awards ceremony on March 26 in Tampa.
“Our firm’s litigation attorneys pride themselves in providing top-notch client service with exceptional legal results,” said J. Eric (“Tate”) Taylor, chair of the Executive Board of Trenam Kemker. “We are honored that the Daily Business Review has chosen to include us in its round-up of top firms in the state, and appreciate our clients who have long recognized our value as trusted business advisors.”
The Daily Business Review, part of American Lawyer Media (ALM), selected Trenam Kemker for the firm’s work in 56 significant cases throughout 2013. A highlight of the year, the publication noted, was Trenam Kemker’s successful representation of a general contractor seeking payment for artwork installed at the First District Court of Appeal, a construction project criticized for its cost overruns and nicknamed the “Taj Mahal.”
Trenam Kemker’s litigation practice is comprised of attorneys from a variety of backgrounds with substantial experience in nearly all aspects of commercial litigation, including class actions, employment law, franchising disputes and securities litigation, among other areas.
