In the Jan. 13, 2017 issue of Business Observer Florida, Geoff Young details the archaeological adventures he and his wife have taken, diving underground, water-filled sinkhole caves in the Mayan Yucatan called cenotes. The couple has gone on more than 30 diving trims with Guillermo “Memo” de Ando, an archaeologist and board member of Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History who Young and his wife now sponsor. The couple began diving upon learning about the “Cult of the Crystal Skull,” and while they have yet to find a crystal skull, their findings to date include a crucifix from a 600+ year old sacrifice, a royal burial site and a cenote with at least 70 skulls.
