Tampa, FL – Trenam Law is pleased to announce that Richard A. Bruner, Jr., Patrick M. Causey, Catherine DiPaolo, and Anne C. Leonard have been elevated to shareholder. The attorneys were elected as shareholders at the firm’s annual meeting of shareholders on September 13, 2018.

Richard Bruner is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Practice Group. His practice focuses on corporate, business and securities law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, equity and debt securities offerings, and intellectual property matters. Richard’s clients include businesses, business owners, executives, investors, private funds, investment advisers, start-ups and entrepreneurs. He received a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, an M.B.A. from Stetson University, and a B.A. from Rollins College.
Patrick Causey is a civil trial lawyer member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. He represents clients in a variety of commercial matters including franchise disputes, non-competition and confidentiality agreements, breach of contract, class actions, fraud, commercial torts and trade secrets litigation. Patrick also dedicates a significant portion of his practice to defending lawyers in legal malpractice cases. Additionally, he has experience assisting clients obtain and protect intellectual property rights in Federal Court and in front of the United States Trademark and Patent Office, with a particular emphasis on trademarks. Patrick received a J.D., with honors, from Stetson University College of Law and a B.A., with honors, from University of North Florida.
Cat DiPaolo is a member of this firm’s Commercial Litigation Group and focuses her practice in employment, business, and construction issues. As an experienced trial attorney, Cat has handled cases for a wide variety of clients in diverse areas including complex business litigation, construction litigation, non-compete and restrictive covenants, franchising/distributorships, trust litigation, healthcare and medical staff privileges litigation, proceedings supplementary, homeowner property disputes, and all manner of employment-related matters. She received a J.D., with honors, from Stetson University College of Law and a B.A. from University of Central Florida.
Anne Leonard is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Appellate practice groups. She represents businesses and individuals in state and federal court and has handled a variety of commercial litigation and appellate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Anne clerked for the Honorable Anne C. Conway, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She received a J.D., with honors, from University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.A., with honors, from Wake Forest University.
