Diana L. Hayes, a shareholder in the Business Transactions Group of Trenam Law, served as a judge in the University of Florida’s “Big Idea Gator Business Plan” Competition. The competition, through the Warrington College of Business Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center, is designed to bring students’ cool ideas to life. The final judging of the top four teams took place on April 21st. The winning team in the competition was Band.it, with Phlex coming in second, and Scubotics coming in third place. Hayes has also donated legal services to the winners.
Hayes focuses primarily on corporate and business matters, private placements and securities law advice, intellectual property and technology, mergers and acquisitions, entity selection and formation, and commercial contracts. Diana also has experience in state and federal securities law compliance and reporting, private placements of debt and equity securities, trademark and copyright protection, and capital raising.
Hayes serves on the Business Advisory Board at Hillsborough Community College and is a member of Leadership Tampa Bay, class of 2017. She was recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2016.Hayes received a J.D., magna cum laude, from University of Florida Levin College of Law and a B.S., with honors, from University of Florida.
